Abstract:
In the case of performing encoding with a compression ratio greater than a limit compression ratio at which recognition by artificial intelligence is possible, the present invention suppresses a degradation in recognition accuracy. This image processing device comprises: a determination unit which, when encoding image data of each frame of moving image data, determines whether overflow occurs in a virtual buffer; and a change unit which, when the overflow is determined to occur, refers to information to be recognized, and changes, to a quantization value higher than that according to the limit compression ratio, a quantization value of a block at a position corresponding to an area of a recognition target other than a recognition target designated by the information to be recognized from among recognition targets included in the image data.
