Disclosed is an image processing device, reading destinations of articles to be dispatched, which comprises a storage unit that stores image data of articles to be dispatched, including destination regions in which the destinations of the articles to be dispatched are described, associated with region data indicating positions of the destination regions in the articles to be dispatched; an acquiring unit that acquires the image data of the articles to be dispatched; a searching unit that searches the storage unit for image data of which regions other than the destination regions match those of the image data acquired by the acquiring unit; a retrieving unit that retrieves regions, indicated by the region data associated with the image data that is searched by the searching unit, from the image data acquired by the acquiring unit as destination regions of the articles to be dispatched; and a reading unit that reads the destinations from the destination regions retrieved by the retrieving unit.
