Abstract:
The present technique relates to an image processing device, an image processing method, a surgical system, and a surgical thread, whereby visibility of a thread can be further enhanced. The image processing device is provided with an image acquiring part for acquiring a first image captured under an illumination condition in which a surgical thread emits fluorescent color and a second image captured under an illumination condition including at least visible light as images of an operative part in which surgical thread emits fluorescent color, and a synthesis part for generating a synthesis image in which a region of the surgical thread in the first image is synthesized with the second image. The present technique can be applied in a surgical system or the like, for example.
