Abstract:
The present invention extracts contours of a subject to be measured using volume data and acquires measurement information as anatomical structure useful for diagnosis from the contours. After input of the volume data of the subject (S301), this image processing device detects feature points in the volume data (S302), and on the basis of the detected feature points and anatomical definitions, detects the contours of a plurality of parts in the volume data (S303). Then, boundary lines which are the contours of the parts that contact each other among the detected plurality of parts are optimized, and the contours of the subject being measured are created (S304) by combining the optimized contours of the plurality of parts. Measurements are performed on diagnosis items useful for diagnosis from the created contours (S305), and the acquired measurement information is output as measurement results (S306) and displayed on a display.
