Abstract:
[Problem] To enable a quantization matrix to be adaptively switched in accordance with the orthogonal transformation method used. [Solution] Provided is an image processing device provided with: a setting unit that, in accordance with the orthogonal transformation method selected when performing an inverse orthogonal transformation on transformation coefficient data of an image to be decoded, sets, in each transformation unit, a quantization matrix used when performing inverse quantization of the transformation coefficient data; an inverse quantization unit that, using the quantization matrix set by the setting unit, performs inverse quantization on the transformation coefficient data; and a transformation unit that, using the orthogonal transformation method selected, performs an inverse orthogonal transformation on the transformation coefficient data that has been subjected to inverse quantization by the inverse quantization unit.
