Abstract:
The present invention relates to an image processing device and method that calculate information on the distance to a subject and the size of the subject within an image frame. The image processing method comprises the steps of: sequentially moving a focus lens from infinity to a close distance; overlapping and storing frames including a subject on which the focus lens has focused at each position it has moved to; and displaying a composite frame in which the overlapped frames have been combined into one frame and, at the same time, calculating relative distance information on the subjects on which the focus lens has focused at different positions on the basis of the subject on which the focus lens has focused at an arbitrary position, and displaying the calculated information on the composite frame.
