Abstract:
[Problem] To reduce the buffer size of a look-up table while ensuring sufficient prediction accuracy in color gamut scalability.
[Solution] Provided is an image processing device provided with a prediction unit which, using a look-up table in which a combination of a luminance component, a first color difference component, and a second color difference component of a first layer and a predicted pixel value of a second layer corresponding to the combination are mapped, predicts, from an image of the first layer, an image of the second layer having a different color gamut from that of the first layer, wherein the prediction unit uses the look-up table in which the granularities of the first color difference component and the second color difference component are coarser than the granularity of the luminance component.
