Abstract:

The present technology pertains to an image processing device and method with which the relative orientations of a projection unit and an imaging unit can be more easily determined. In one aspect of the present invention a pattern photographic image, which is a photographic image of a pattern projection image that is a projected image of an image containing a pattern, is used to detect the correspondence relationship between the projected image and the photographic image thereof. For example, this technology can be applied to an electronic device equipped with the functionality of a projector and/or a camera, or to a computer or the like controlling these.
