Abstract:
The present invention relates to an image processing device and method that make it possible to correcting determine a main subject region during autofocusing. In the present invention, a control unit selects a local focus area from captured image information and supplies focusing instruction position information which is information indicating the selected local focus area to an image processing unit. The image processing unit performs control relating to focusing, on the basis of subject region information indicating a region for a plurality of subjects in an image, and the focusing instruction position information indicating a focusing instruction position in the image. The present invention can be applied to an imaging device, for example.
