Abstract:

An image processing method, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises the steps of: acquiring an eye image; detecting a contour of an image of a target object corresponding to a pupil or an iris from the eye image; calculating an elliptic equation for the target object on the basis of the contour and determining whether the elliptic equation is admitted as a final elliptic equation for the target object; and correcting the contour of the target object image by using a Fourier descriptor when the elliptic equation is not admitted as the final elliptic equation, wherein the Fourier descriptor can be acquired from shape information indicating shape characteristics of the target object image.
