Abstract:
According to an aspect of this invention, to facilitate eyeball detection, an auxiliary illumination unit 10e is arranged side by side with a pattern projection projector 10b in a camera head 10, and at the same time as an optical pattern is projected by the pattern projection projector 10b, the face of a driver 4 is illuminated by the auxiliary illumination unit 10e from a direction different from the projection direction of the optical pattern. According to an aspect of this invention, the auxiliary illumination unit 10e is configured such that lateral light emitted from a light emitting element 32 of the pattern projection projector 10b exits from a light transmissive window 34 to the outside and is reflected by a reflection optical system 35, thus forming auxiliary illumination light.
