Abstract:
An image processing device (1) comprises: a region division unit that photographs a subject over time and, for a plurality of acquired images, divides each image into a plurality of regions; a motion vector calculation unit that detects the motion of the subject in each divided region and calculates a motion vector therefor; a specific region detection unit that detects the brightness and contrast for each region and detects a specific region for which the detected brightness and contrast satisfy determination conditions, the determination conditions being that the brightness is at or above a first threshold value, and the contrast is at or below a second contrast value; a vector selection unit that removes from the calculated motion vectors the motion vectors for the specific regions in which the determination conditions are satisfied, and selects a motion vector to be used; and a synthesis processing unit (3) that uses the selected motion vector and aligns the positions of the plurality of images to generate a synthesis image.
