Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to an image processing device and method for suppressing an increase in the amount of processing for coding and decoding. A value corresponding to a bit depth of an image is set as a maximum number of context coding bins obtained by performing variable length coding on the image. Further, the maximum number of context coding bins obtained by performing variable length coding on the image is set in accordance with a control flag indicating a processing speed mode. The present disclosure may be applied to, for example, an image processing device, an image coding device, an image decoding device, a transmitting device, a receiving device, a transceiver device, an information processing device, an imaging device, a reproduction device, an electronic apparatus, an image processing method, an information processing method or the like.
