Abstract:

An image processing device is provided with: an extraction unit for obtaining a distance image having a pixel value corresponding to a distance of an object in a plurality of taken images obtained by taking images of the object on a road, and extracting the pixel value from the distance image; a first generation unit for generating, on the basis of the extracted pixel value, vertical-direction distribution data that indicates a frequency distribution of distance values of the distance image in a vertical direction; a calculation unit for calculating a height of the road in the distance image before completion of the generation of the vertical-direction distribution data corresponding to the distance image; and a second generation unit for generating, on the basis of the extracted pixel value and the calculated height of the road, horizontal-direction distribution data that indicates a frequency distribution of distance values of the distance image in a horizontal direction.
