Abstract:
Provided is an image processing device capable of grasping a sense of distance of a subject without affecting the color in which the subject is displayed. The image processing device is provided with: an image pickup unit 105 which picks up an image of a subject; and a distance map acquisition unit 110 which acquires, as map data, information related to a distance distribution of the subject. The distance map acquisition unit 110 acquires distance map data or map data on a phase deviation amount or a defocused amount related to the picked-up image through a time-of-flight (TOF) method or an image pickup surface phase difference detection method using a pupil-division type image pickup element, etc. The image processing unit 107 generates data on a texture image in which a low-frequency component of the picked-up image is suppressed, and synthesizes the data on the texture image and the map data acquired by the distance map acquisition unit 110 to generate image data that represents a distance distribution of the subject.
