This image processing device is provided with a processing unit for processing images. The processing unit acquires a first image in an equirectangular form, generates four strip images through division of the acquired first image in the longitudinal direction, scales down, into triangular images, images of rectangular regions at both ends in the longitudinal direction in the generated strip images, generates a second image in a cube map form using the triangular images and images of square regions located at the centers of the strip images, and outputs the generated second image.
