Abstract:
The disclosed image processing device has an image segmenting processing unit for segmenting an image into clusters, i.e., sets of pixels. The image segmenting processing unit segments an image by making each pixel in the image the target pixel and setting to the same cluster those pixels that are adjacent to the target pixel and that have a feature value closest to that of the target pixel. Because no threshold value processing is performed, the disclosed image processing device is capable of robustly extracting objects from the image data.
