Abstract:
This image processing device includes a photographic image input unit (S135), a calibration target identification unit (S145), a vehicle information input unit (S140), a calculation unit (S160), and a storage control unit (S165). The photographic image input unit inputs a plurality of images photographed using a camera mounted in a vehicle. The calibration target identification unit identifies identical calibration targets included in a first photographic image and a second photographic image photographed at two sites through which the vehicle traveled. The vehicle information input unit inputs information enabling the identification of the vehicle's travel distance and direction changes. The calculation unit converts the first photographic image and the second photographic image to a first bird's-eye image and a second bird's-eye image, arranges the converted bird's-eye images on a common coordinate system by reflecting the respective photographing positions and photographing directions, and calculates the value of at least one attitude parameter of the camera so that the positional difference and rotational difference of the first bird's-eye image and the second bird's-eye image are minimized. The storage control unit stores the attitude parameter value in a storage unit.
