Abstract:
The present invention provides a technology which reduces the impact of variation in photography timing and allows sensing (observing) with good precision, by image analysis, the movement of an object which has been photographed without the movement of the object in motion being stopped. In summary, provided is an image processing device 1, comprising a representative selection unit 2, a displacement analysis unit 3, and a reference selection unit 4. The representative selection unit 2 selects, from among photographic images in which an object to be sensed is photographed, a representative image which is a reference for processing. In a state of the representative image being selected, the displacement analysis unit 3 carries out a comparative analysis between the representative image and the photographic image which differs from the photographic image which has been selected as the representative image, and thereby computes a degree of displacement between the representative image and said photographic image. From among the photographic images which have been assigned as reference images, the reference selection unit 4 selects the reference image which will be used in a process of analyzing the movement of the object to be sensed, on the basis of the degree of displacement which has been computed by the displacement analysis unit 3.
