Abstract:
Provided are a device and method with which it is possible to generate a three-dimensional image in real time that is based on an input image. Processing on each image frame of an input image is executed and a three-dimensional image is generated. A template database that is correspondence data between attribute information of the subject of the input image and a material that is a rendering element of the three-dimensional image is referenced, a material that corresponds to the subject attribute is selected, and a three-dimensional image is generated. Materials in component units of the face of a person are recorded in the template database. Applying a mask image in component units of the face, an image processing unit acquires a material that corresponds to each component from the template database and performs material setting in component units of the face.
