Abstract:
This image processing device comprises: a mode setting unit that sets either a three-dimensional observation mode or a recording image selection mode; a boundary region superimposition unit that, if the observation mode is the recording image selection mode, causes a frame image to be superimposed onto a first image which is based on first image data, the frame image representing a boundary region the size of which is set on the basis of an optical system that forms an image of a subject; and a display image data generation unit that, if three-dimensional observation mode is selected, generates a parallax image on the basis of first and second image data, and if the recording image selection mode is selected, generates a two-dimensional image on the basis of the image data generated by the boundary region overlapping unit.
