Abstract:
A television receiver equipped with: an edge gradient direction setting unit that uses input pixels within a reference block to set the edge gradient direction in an interpolation pixel; a preliminary reference coordinates setting unit (65) that sets four reference pixels as the vertices of a parallelogram having two sides perpendicular to the edge gradient direction; a reference pixel value setting unit (66) that uses the input pixels within the reference block to set a reference pixel value, which is the concentration value of a reference pixel, regardless of whether the reference pixels are inside of or outside of the reference block; and an interpolation pixel value calculation unit (67) that uses the reference pixel values for the four reference pixels to calculate a concentration value for an interpolation pixel.
