Abstract:
An image holding unit (301) holds, as information for indicating a chapter breakpoint of a document to be processed, image data of one or a plurality of selected sheets of the document to be processed, the image data being acquired in advance by an image read-out unit (120). A chapter breakpoint determining unit (302) determines a chapter breakpoint by comparing the image data held by the image holding unit (301) with image data which is acquired by the image read-out unit (120) when the document to be processed, including the sheets corresponding to the image data held by the image holding unit (301), is conveyed by a document conveying mechanism (110). A process executing unit (303) executes a chapter breaking process on the image data of the document to be processed, on the basis of the chapter breakpoint determined by the chapter breakpoint determining unit (302).
