Abstract:
An image processor for an endoscope comprises an image processing section for processing a signal picked up by an imaging element mounted in the endoscope to generate an image signal for observing as an endoscope image, a gray scale correction circuit section for correcting the gray scale of the image signal, and a switching section for switching the observation mode or the type of the endoscope image. The gray scale correction circuit section alters the correction characteristics of gray scale depending on the observation mode or the type.
