Abstract:
[Problem] To provide images suitable for observing the large intestine.
[Solution] Endoscopic images (E1) and (E2) showing the inner surface of the large intestine wall are captured by an endoscope inserted into the large intestine. By using a three-dimensional image showing a three-dimensional area including the large intestine, a neighborhood vascular image (Q1), which indicates parts of blood vessels existing in the neighborhood of the wall from the viewpoints in the three-dimensional image corresponding to the viewpoints of the endoscopic images (E1) and (E2), is formed. By using a three-dimensional image showing a three-dimensional area including the surroundings of the large intestine, a surrounding vascular image (Q2), which indicates blood vessels from the viewpoints corresponding to the viewpoints of the endoscopic images, is formed. Then, these images are displayed by a display means in the order of the endoscopic images (E1) and (E2), the neighborhood vascular image (Q1) and the surrounding vascular image (Q2).
