Abstract:
A control unit (63): drives an image reading unit (23) when an image printed on a web (W) is read so that both ends of a white reference member are read and edge read data is generated; generates inside white reference data, which is white reference data of an area inward of both widthwise ends of the web (W), on the basis of the generated edge read data and preliminary white reference data obtained by the image reading unit (23) reading the white reference member in advance when the web (W) is not present between the image reading unit (23) and the white reference member; and, using the generated inside white reference data, performs shading correction of the read image data that is obtained by the image reading unit (23) reading the image printed on the web (W).
