Abstract:
Provided are an image reading apparatus and a printer apparatus wherein the influence of the shadows of adsorption apertures can be reduced. Adsorption apertures 112 for adsorbing a piece of paper P are provided in the circumferential surface 104 of a drum 100 for carrying the piece of paper P. The adsorption apertures 112 are located within grooves 114 formed along the direction orthogonal to the carrying direction. In this way, even in a case of testing the concentration unevenness on the basis of a read image, the influence of the shadows of adsorption apertures can be reduced and erroneous detection of the concentration unevenness can be prevented.
