Abstract:
In the present invention, a sheet-supplying roller part (12) supplies a plurality of bundled sheets (S1) to a transport path (18). An ultrasonic sensor (19) detects a voltage value that changes in accordance with the thickness of the sheets (S1) at a measurement position (P2) on the transport path (18). A determination processing unit (53) determines whether or not a voltage difference in the voltage value for the sheets as detected by the ultrasonic sensor (19) is equal to or greater than a preset threshold value. When it has been determined by the determination processing unit (53) that the voltage difference is equal to or greater than the threshold value, a light quantity adjustment processing unit (54) adjusts the quantity of light with which the sheets (S1) are irradiated from a CIS sensor (23).
