[Problem] To protect an electric cable extending from an automatic paper feed device and prevent appearance design from being degraded due to the exposure of the electric cable to the outside. [Solution] In a document table (251), a communication hole (251g) by which the upper side and the lower side communicate with each other with the document table (251) interposed therebetween is formed. In a portion of a document holding cover (230) corresponding to the communication hole (251g), a cable introduction port (230f) by which the document holding surface side and the opposite side thereto communicate with each other and into which an electric cable extending from an automatic paper feed device is introduced is formed. A cable guide tube (235) is inserted in the communication hole (251g) of the document table (251) and disposed such that an upper end portion thereof communicates with the cable introduction port (230f) of the document holding cover (230), the cable guide tube guiding the electric cable (280) below the document table (251) from the cable introduction port (230f). In the outer wall surface of the upper end portion of the cable guide tube (235), an engagement protruding portion (235a) which supports the document holding cover (230) coaxially with a support shaft portion (233) is formed.
