Abstract:
An image reading device (100) is provided with: a platen (61); a reading control unit (60); a data generation circuit unit (8); an original document pressing part (62); an opening/closing sensor (9) for outputting a first level when the original document pressing part is open by a predetermined degree or more and outputting a second level when open by less than the predetermined degree; a power source device (10); and a storage unit (2) for storing an adjustment value. When there has been a return from a power-saving mode to an active mode, and if the output of the opening/closing sensor (9) at the completion of shared processing is the first level, the reading control unit (60) sets an operation of the data generation circuit unit (8) on the basis of the adjustment value of the storage unit (2) and thereafter causes a reading unit (7) to perform reading in order to detect the original document size.
