Abstract:
This image reading device (1) is provided with a light-emission control unit (84), an image scanning unit (11), and a difference data sequence generating unit (852, 853, 855). The difference data sequence generating unit (852, 853, 855) sequentially acquires linear-region image data sequences in each of a lit state and an extinguished state of a light emitting unit. Further, the difference data sequence generating unit (852, 853, 855) sequentially generates a difference data sequence (Ys), which is a result obtained by subtracting an image data sequence (X2) in the extinguished state of the light emitting unit from an image data sequence (X1) in the lit state of the light emitting unit, where the two image data sequences (X1, X2) are obtained for each blinking cycle of the light emitting unit.
