Abstract:
According to the present invention, portions of visual field areas of a plurality of imaging optical elements (15) overlap portions of visual field areas of neighboring imaging optical elements (15), and the plurality of imaging optical elements (15) include: lenses (18) which collect light (16) scattered by an object (1) to be read; apertures (19) which block portions of light collected by the lenses (18); phase modulating elements (21c) which modulate the phase of the light passing through the apertures (19); and lenses (20) which image, on an imaging surface (22), the light having a phase that has been modulated by the phase modulating elements (21c), wherein the phase modulating elements are disposed such that the resolution characteristics of the phase modulating elements in the alignment direction of the plurality of imaging optical elements (15) become consistent.
