Abstract:
An image-receiving sheet (1) for thermal transfer comprises: a paper base (10); a polyolefin resin layer (20) formed on a first surface (10a) of the base; an adhesive layer (30) formed on a second surface (10b), which is on the reverse side of the base from the first surface; a porous layer (40) formed on the adhesive layer; an undercoat layer (50) formed on the porous layer; and an image-receiving layer (60) formed on the undercoat layer. The surface of the base has a maximum valley (undulation) depth Wv, as defined by JIS B0601:2001, of 2.00 μm or less and an undulation root mean square slope WΔq of 0.013 or less. The porous layer has a thickness of 25 μm or larger, and the polyolefin resin layer has a thickness in the range of 0.2-3.0 times the thickness of the porous layer.
