Abstract:
An image recognition based method for self-checkout in a restaurant. The method comprises the following steps: collecting a current dinner plate image by means of a first monocular camera or a first binocular camera (20), and acquiring feature information of each dinner plate in the current dinner plate image; and comparing the feature information of each dinner plate with a correlation between pre-stored dinner plate feature information and food products or prices, and determining a dish variety or price corresponding thereto, and carrying out summarization to obtain the total meal price of a current user. By means of the method, for a canteen or a restaurant that uses dishware of different shapes, sizes and colors to hold dishes of different prices, automatic image capture of dinner plates for dishes ordered by a customer can be realized, and the dinner plate image can be automatically recognized and the total price of the dishes contained by the dinner plates is automatically calculated, and the unit price, quantity and total price can be presented on a display device.
