Abstract:
This image recognition system 20 is provided with: an optical detection unit 30 which is a camera placed on a ceiling 101a of a room 101 so as to have a vertically downward field of view for taking an image from an overhead view point; and an image recognition unit 21 that performs an image recognition process on data of the image taken by the optical detection unit 30. The optical detection unit 30 takes an image in which the peripheral portion Ra of a floor surface 101b of the room 101 is suited for the image recognition process.
