Abstract:
The present invention reduces the required effort and operation time for an operator when installing a printer. If a transmission address is stored in an IC memory of a cartridge (S14: Yes) but is not stored in a memory, a controller stores the transmission address stored in the IC memory in a first storage region of an EEPROM of the memory (S20). If the transmission address is not stored in the IC memory of the cartridge (S14: No) but is stored in the memory (S15: Yes), the controller stores the transmission address stored in the memory in the IC memory (S19). If the transmission address is not stored in the IC memory of the cartridge and is not stored in the memory, the controller accepts an input of the transmission address, and the controller stores the accepted transmission address in the first storage region of the EEPROM of the memory.
