Abstract:

Provided are an image registration method and apparatus, and an image stitching method and device. The image registration method comprises: calculating a correlation coefficient image of a reference image and a floating image; calculating a gradient image of the correlation coefficient image; according to a pixel of the extreme value of a gradient in the gradient image, determining a pixel of the extreme value of a correlation coefficient in the correlation coefficient image; and according to the pixel of the extreme value of a correlation coefficient, registering the reference image and the floating image. The image registration method and apparatus have high universality and only require a small amount of calculation, can ensure the real-time performance of an operation, and have a more accurate registration result. The image stitching method and device are implemented based on the image registration method, thereby also improving the speed and the accuracy.
