Abstract:
An image scanning apparatus is disclosed. The image scanning apparatus comprises: an illumination unit for irradiating light to a document by means of an LED light source; a scan unit for scanning image information of the document from the light reflected from the document to generate a scan image; and a processor for controlling the illumination unit such that light is irradiated only by a preset duty for each unit pixel while the document is being moved in a sub-scanning direction.
