Abstract:

Disclosed is an image-search apparatus that efficiently searches images. The apparatus is equipped with an image-memory device 202 that records image data from a photographic device 201 - 1 to 201 - n. Further equipped is an image-search apparatus 203 that searches similar images. An image-feature amount registration portion 210 registers by calculating a feature amount of the image data. An image-feature amount recording portion 220 records a feature amount of calculated image data. Also, an image-search portion 230 searches images using an image feature amount based on an input search condition. Still further, a user-interface portion 240 notifies an input search condition to the image search portion 230 to display a search result. Moreover, the image-search portion 230 implements a similar image search using an image feature amount and counts a number of times an image with a high similarity was searched. Still further, the user interface portion 240 displays according to conditions and counts specified by a user in advance.
