Abstract:
In the present invention, a sensing device includes: an image pickup device; an image processing unit that detects, as a sensing target, an entire person or a part thereof, from images taken in by the image pickup device, and that extracts information related to the detected sensing target; and a wireless communication unit that transmits, by wireless communication, sensing results which include the information extracted by the image processing unit. An application device includes: a communication unit that receives the sensing results from the sensing device; and an application processing unit that executes processing in which the information included in the sensing results received by the communication unit is used. The information transmitted from the sensing device as sensing results does not include images of people nor information by which an individual could be directly identified.
