Abstract:
The present technique relates to an image sensor enabling a high degree of freedom for compression or facilitating connectivity between the image sensor and a DSP, a method for transmitting data from said sensor, an information processing device, an information processing method, an electronic device and a program. Data Pixel4*N to Pixel4*N+3 of four pixels in a 12-bit original image data format are converted to 6-bit compressed data, and every two pixels are disposed in a 12-bit compressed data format having the same configuration as the 12-bit original image data format, whereby data Data2*N, Data2*N+1 are configured. The high-order 8 bits of the data Data2*N, Data2*N+1 are retrieved and disposed in data Byte3*N, Byte3*N+1, and every lower four bits of the compressed data format Data2*N, Data2*N+1 are disposed in data Byte3*N+2. The present technique is applicable to an imaging device.
