Abstract:
Disclosed are an image sharing method based on a thumbnail image and a terminal. The method comprises: displaying the thumbnail image on a screen; performing characteristic extraction on the thumbnail image, to obtain a characteristic factor of the thumbnail image; if the characteristic factor of the thumbnail image matches a characteristic factor in a pre-set characteristic factor index bank, displaying prompt information on the screen, wherein the characteristic factor index bank represents a correlation between the characteristic factor and an image storing address; and the prompt information represents the existence of an original image which matches the thumbnail image; obtaining an original image acquisition request; and according to the original image acquisition request, displaying the original image on the screen. According to the present method and terminal, indexes are created for all the pictures in an internal memory, cache, and picture bank of each application; an original picture with a high resolution can be sought using a characteristic factor of the thumbnail image; and high-definition image sharing can be realized among different application programs.
