Abstract:
A correct image taking bearing with no influence of disturbance is calculated in a short time period corresponding to image taking timing. Provided is an image taking device which is provided with an image taking unit, a geomagnetic sensor, an image taking control unit, a bearing calculation unit, and a recording unit. The image taking unit takes an image of a subject in response to an image taking start instruction and outputs a taken image. The geomagnetic sensor detects a geomagnetism. The image taking control unit controls component parts of the image taking unit and determines an operation period of a magnetic field generation part that affects the detection value of the geomagnetic sensor out of the component parts of the image taking unit during an image taking process period from the image taking start instruction until the output of the taken image. The bearing calculation unit calculates an image taking bearing on the basis of the detection value detected by the geomagnetic sensor during a period excluding the operation period of the magnetic field generation part in the image taking process period. The recording unit associates the image taking bearing with the taken image and records the bearing associated in a recording medium.
