Abstract:
Provided is an image transmission system in which: first compressed image data is generated in a smartphone (10); it is subsequently determined whether a calculated first hash value is stored in a server device (20); the first compressed image data and the first hash value are transmitted to the server device (20) and stored only when the first hash value is not stored in the server device (20), a second compressed image storage unit is created from the first compressed image data in the server device (20), and it is subsequently determined whether a calculated second hash value is stored in a client device (30); and the second compressed image data and the second hash value are transmitted to the client device (30) and stored only when the second hash value is not stored in the client device (30). As a result, processing for determining whether image data has been transmitted and compression processing for image data are each carried out in two stages, and it is possible to minimize the response time from when the client device (30) issues an image acquisition request until when image data is acquired.
