An imaging apparatus, comprising a lens array and an image sensor, the lens array comprising a plurality of lens units and being configured to provide a first lens sub-array and a second lens sub-array, the first lens sub-array comprising first lens units amongst the plurality of lens units, and the first lens unit and an image sensor being configured to have a first depth of field range, the second lens sub-array comprising second lens units amongst the plurality of lens units, the second lens unit and the image sensor being configured to have a second depth of field range, the first depth of field range and the second depth of field range partially overlapping and the collective range of the first depth of field range and the second depth of field range being greater than the first depth of field range and the second depth of field range. The present imaging apparatus may have an extended depth of field. Also provided is an electronic device comprising said imaging apparatus.
