Abstract:
The present invention provides an imaging control device, imaging control method, camera, camera system, and program such that when tracking an object with a camera having an imaging unit which can turn in panning and tilting directions, the turning speed of the camera can be appropriately adjusted by a simple operation and according to the movement speed of the object with good tracking performance, and such that a tracking image that is eye-friendly and less tiring can be displayed. An imaging control device pertaining to an embodiment of the present invention is provided with: a motion vector calculation part (212) for calculating the motion vector of an object to be tracked on the basis of a moving image obtained by an imaging unit; a tracking direction instruction input part (204) for receiving input of a tracking direction instruction indicating a specific tracking direction for tracking the object; a tracking direction motion component extraction part (214) for extracting a motion component in the specific tracking direction from the motion vector of the object on the basis of the tracking direction instruction; and a driving information generation part (216) for generating driving information for only the specific tracking direction for a pan/tilt mechanism on the basis of the extracted motion component in the specific tracking direction.
