Abstract:
An imaging device (100) modifies the multiplication factor of an avalanche photodiode (APD) at either: (i) a first timing that is after a first frame exposure period is provided in a first vertical scanning period and a first frame readout period is provided in a second vertical scanning period, but before a second frame exposure period is provided in a third vertical scanning period; or (ii) a second timing that is after a first frame exposure period is provided in a first vertical scanning period, but before a first frame readout period and second frame exposure period are simultaneously provided in a second vertical scanning period.
