Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to convert between a first color signal of a primary color point of a color gamut such as ITU/BT.2020 that is broader than the primary color points of BT.709, and a second color signal based on the BT.709 primary colors, and to easily correct. Provided is an imaging device having a means that detects a specific hue for each pixel of a red-green-blue primary-color video signal of each pixel signal generated from a color separation optical system and at least three imaging elements, and independently corrects a specific hue for each pixel, said imaging device being characterized by having a color gamut conversion means and a means for calculating the saturation components of each pixel, and being further characterized by having an independent color correction function for at least six colors, whereby during color gamut conversion, the amount and direction of color correction are varied by saturation at the pixel unit.
