Abstract:
The present disclose relates to an imaging device, a control method, and a program that enable an imaging preparation operation after power supply ON control is automatically performed in response to contactless communication and transmission of connection information for wireless communication connection is completed. An imaging device is provided with a contactless communication unit that performs contactless communication with an external device, and a control unit that controls power supply ON/OFF and an imaging preparation operation of the imaging device. The control unit, upon detection of a polling command transmitted from the external device by the contactless communication, implements control for turning ON the power supply of the imaging device. After the power supply is turned ON, the control unit transmits to the external device connection information for achieving wireless communication connection with the external device and, when the transmission of the connection information is completed, implements control to perform the imaging preparation operation.
