Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to capture an image having an intended composition at a timing intended by a user without performing a special operation. For this purpose, this imaging device comprising an imaging unit comprises: a driving unit that drives the imaging unit; a first detection unit that detects a direction in which a user is present; a second detection unit that detects a movement of the imaging device; a plurality of sound collection units for collecting sound; a third detection unit that detects the direction of a sound source of sound using the plurality of sound collection units; and a control unit. The control unit determines two or more sound collection units from among the plurality of sound collection units on the basis of the direction in which the user is present and which has been detected by the first detection unit, and the movement of the imaging device that has been detected by the second detection unit. The third detection unit detects the direction of the sound source of the sound using the determined two or more sound collection units. When the third detection unit has detected the direction of the sound source of the sound using the determined two or more sound collection units, the control unit controls the driving unit such that the imaging direction of the imaging unit is directed in the direction of the sound source that has been detected by the third detection unit.
